Are bookings essential?

Bookings are essential. To ensure that your wedding ceremony may be held in the Rotunda area at the Holroyd Gardens Park on the corner of Walpole and Pitt Street bridal couples are requested to make a booking directly with the Holroyd Centre and complete the necessary forms including the Venue Hire Terms and Conditions and the Wedding Ceremony Venue Hire Agreement Booking Form

How do I book?

Please enquire directly with the Holroyd Centre to ensure availability for your wedding ceremony date and time. Please do this by contacting the Holroyd Centre via our online form located on the Contact Us page or by phoning the office on 02 9840 9900. You will also need to ensure that you read and complete the necessary forms including the Venue Hire Terms and Conditions and the Wedding Ceremony Venue Hire Agreement Booking Form

How long is each booking period?

Each bridal couple has a 2 hour inclusive time block to arrive, set up, hold the ceremony, take photos and leave the area clear ready for the next couple’s arrival.

Can I book to hold my ceremony only at Holroyd Gardens Park?

Yes, we have ceremony only packages that are designed for the bride and groom that have already decided on another wedding reception venue and are looking to hold their marriage ceremony in the Holroyd Gardens Park with beautiful landscape and other wonderful and historic features. Bookings are essential. What happens if it rains?

The Holroyd Gardens Park provides a rotunda which is a sheltered area to hold approximately 50 people for your marriage ceremony. Should you choose the Holroyd Centre for your exclusive wedding reception and celebration of marriage with family, friends and other guests then you have an alternative choice of moving the ceremony indoors. Please note that moving the ceremony to The Holroyd Centre is only available to Brides and Grooms who have booked The Holroyd Centre for their exclusive wedding reception.

Is confetti, rice or other objects permitted to be thrown for luck and good fortune over the Bride and Groom?

Confetti, rice or other objects like lollies that may leave a mess and may damage property are not permitted in the Holroyd Gardens Park or surrounding precinct.

Can we put up decorations?

You are allowed decorations, pieces and assembly items as long as they do not make a mess or damage the property or surrounding precinct. Anything that you may put up or have with you must be taken down and removed by the end of the booking period. For example please use easels to display framed photos or posters as this can be easily assembled and taken away in no time with no fuss.

Is there parking available?

Street parking and a Holroyd Gardens Carpark is available. Entry to the Holroyd Gardens carpark is available from Walpole Street.

Can we use the drive-way leading up to the gazebo?

For select packages, one (1) bridal car only is permitted on the sandstone drive-way that leads up to the gazebo and access is from Pitt Street. Please ensure your requirements for access to the drive-way are pre-booked.

How far is the Holroyd Centre?

The Holroyd Centre is about a 2 - 3 minute drive away on the Corner of Merrylands Road and Miller Street. Parking is available on Miller Street in front of the building or undercover parking is available under the library entrance from Newman Street. The red drive-way is reserved specially for wedding cars.

Do you have accommodation?

The Holroyd Centre does not have accommodation however Parramatta CBD is only 5 minutes drive away and accessible by bus, train and taxi services from Merrylands.
